Privacy Policy

This page explains what Glean collects, what we don’t, and how you can reach us. Short version: we use cookieless analytics, we don’t run ads or marketing pixels, and we don’t store anything that identifies you.

Who we are

Glean is a weekly curated AI digest published at glean.fm. It is operated by Balázs Barta (“Bala”). For any privacy question or request, email contact@hellobala.co.

What we collect

Glean has no accounts, no comment forms, no signup, and no contact forms on the site. We don’t collect your name, email, or any personal data. We don’t run ad networks or marketing pixels. We don’t sell or share data with anyone.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit Glean and which posts are read. It is cookieless, doesn’t set persistent identifiers, and doesn’t track you across other sites. Cloudflare collects aggregated metrics such as pageviews, referrers, browser, country, and Core Web Vitals. Because nothing about you is stored or correlated, this analytics is enabled by default and there is no opt-in to manage. Hosting

Glean is a static site deployed on Cloudflare Pages. As with any web host, Cloudflare may log request metadata (IP addresses, user agents) at the network layer for security and abuse prevention. That happens outside of Glean’s control and is governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.

Local storage

Glean stores two small values in your browser’s localStorage: your dark/light theme preference, and the fact that you dismissed the privacy notice. Both stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. See the Cookie Policy for details.

Your rights

Under regulations such as GDPR and CCPA you have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold about you. Because Glean doesn’t store identifying data keyed to you, most of these requests have nothing to act on — but if you’d like to confirm, email contact@hellobala.co and we’ll respond.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Glean handles data, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted in the weekly digest.
