Short version

Glean sets no cookies of its own. Our analytics provider, Cloudflare Web Analytics, is cookieless. We do use a small amount of localStorage to remember your preferences on your device.

What we store on your device

The following values live in your browser’s localStorage. They are not sent to any server and are scoped to glean.fm:

theme — your dark or light theme preference. Set when you toggle the theme. Persists until you clear it.
glean_privacy_notice_dismissed — remembers that you dismissed the privacy notice so it doesn’t reappear on every visit. Persists until you clear it.

Third-party cookies

None. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not set cookies. We don’t embed third-party scripts that set cookies.

Managing your preferences

Because Glean stores everything locally, you can clear it from your browser at any time:

In Chrome / Edge / Firefox: open DevTools → Application (or Storage) → Local Storage → https://glean.fm, then delete the entries.
Or use your browser’s “clear site data” option for glean.fm.
